Had a good time on the river as usual. There is an easy and well groomed walking path, that feature quite a few bikes. Several of them seemed more concerned with speed than safety. The path is macadam and about 4 feet wide. There are a few stops along the way with lookouts, several building remains, and a few places to walk along the railway if you wanted.
The cliffs themselves were pretty cool. Not allot of climbing or exploring to be had, been still pretty cool to entertain us for a couple hours. (Mostly wading in the river or walking). There is a nice view from the top, and several pathways down to the waters edge. The beach area is shallow, but not far away from strong currents (not sure what the river level was at The time).
All in all, I'm sure we'll be back, but will probably plan on spending most of our time wading in the water
Beautiful easy hike! Took us like 30 minutes to get there, the road is paved, I took a stroller with me. Go when it’s not raining, so those cliffs are actually white. I had a family photoshoot here, it’s an amazing location!
This is an easy 1.5 mile hike from Koser park. The view is stunning. The Cliffs are easy to climb and the trail is semi-shaded.
Took a 2 hour ride to check this place out. Plenty of parking and the trial was an easy 2 mile walk down to the cliffs. The cliffs were a nice experience to encounter.
Awesome walking trail and cool scenery! Free parking at Koser Park
This was a great stop along a long drive for my dogs and I. A well paved trail will take you to this area making it very easy to find. There are plenty of bikers and walkers along here, but people are courteous if passing you. The cliffs aren't massive, but they're certainly something different for the area. You can walk up, down, and through the cliffs up to the water.
The trail was very well-kept, paved and seems like an excellent bike trail. The afternoon we went there were an insane amount of bikers and way less hikers. To get to the cliffs it took us about an hour, maybe faster on the way back. The cliffs themselves were really beautiful, like we were definitely not in PA. The view of the water was very nice. We will be coming back :).
Old limestone 'mountains' overlooking a beautiful view of the river located along the Lancaster River Trail - a must see! Caution to note...no safety measures at location so good footing and child supervision a must. Some portable bathrooms in area.
